Forza League Official Hype Thread

Alrighty then! Let it begin! Consider this the official announcement of an impending Forza League. I'll be posting a poll on a racing night and a set of tentative rules in other threads. When I remember how to imbed links, I'll provide them. Unless someone generously helps me or reminds me how to do it.

"Well, Captain, if you're going to do that elsewhere, what's this thread for?", you might ask yourself. And if that's your question, then check out the rules, answer the poll, and come back here and announce your intention to participate in the League, because it's first come, first served for at least 8 souls. Okay, if we end up with more than that, we'll run two rooms, but that's all for near-future planning.

Also, this thread is for positing questions, mindless trash talk, pestering the mods, and for the grizzled veterans, reminiscing on all their old so-called victories (and hideous crashes).

Although it's not in the rules, or the poll, whatever night we decide to have the league, the post time will probably be 9:30-10:00-ish EST, and I'll try to pick events that have us actually racing for an hour or less. That doesn't mean that some of us won't be on earlier and/or later for racing silliness, but we'll try to keep the actual racing window tight. I'm shooting for an actual league start in two weeks, which will give everyone time to think about it and sign up, and allow more time to level up and get cars (that would be me).

Finally, feel free to make suggestions. However, at the risk of sounding like a complete ass, keep in mind that this ain't our first rodeo, and these specific rules have been successfully tested more than once, and a good time was apparently had by all. So, don't take it personally if your suggestion waits.

EDIT: By the way, in general, I will be hosting. You'll need to be on my friends' list, which means I need to do some temporary pruning.

I had a great time in the Forza 2 league and this is a not miss. I will make it no matter what night...if we are keeping the times you've announced.

Count me in... I need to work on my router settings before this gets started. For some reason my router hates being secure and playing Forza at the same time. Every other game is fine but it screws with Forza.

Well fellas, I was hoping for a full room plus a couple of alternates. I hate to rain on anyone's parade, but with the effort it takes to do this, I'm reluctant to unless we get a couple more solid commitments.

I'll leave it up another week, and if we don't get it, I'll give it up. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean that we can't have a fairly regular race night. I've barely begun tuning!

I was very slow to pickup FM3, I have finally purchased the game and would be game for a league if interest is rekindled.
